sickness and death

So one of my uncle's died this week. He's been really sick with cancer and finally lost his battle. I feel bad for my aunt, this is the second husband she has had to bury. It makes me think of the many aunts and uncles I have lost in the last 15 years. It's crazy. Most of them have been to cancer. For me, I don't think it's "if" I get cancer, but "when". I take care of myself and hope it's not true. But what are the odds? I have a sister, Barb, who had cancer. She survived and I'm thankful for that. But will I survive as well? I hope my aunt knows that I am thinking of her and praying for her to be comforted. This reminds me of how thankful we should all be for an eternal family and for the belief that my uncles and aunts spirits are still living. If there is a light in a horrible situtation such as death, it's that we can all live again.

Candy- I am sorry to hear about your uncle. I will be sure to keep you all in our prayers! I, too am very grateful for the knowledge that we have of our lives after we leave this (forsaken) earth. I am thankful for you, especially, and the many wonderful talks that we have had and the wonderful advice that you are always willing to give. I love you guys so much. Give everyone a BIG HUG from all of us here. XOXOXO
